51 - Sarracenia flava var. cuprea

This Sarracenia flava var. cuprea exhibits an elegant simplicity in form. The throat colouration is reminiscent of var. flava, with some minor venation visible on the upper tube extending into both sides of the operculum. The peristome is nearly flat, lacking the projecting “pouring spout” often seen more prominently in other flava clones. As a result, the mouth presents as a near-perfect circle with a uniform margin—an understated feature that lends this clone a particularly refined appearance. The flowers display a degree of red pigmentation.

This plant was originally sourced from The Groovy Plant Place in Nowra, though no accompanying information on its provenance was available. If you recognise this clone and can provide any further details about its origins, please get in touch.
